That movie was utterly forgettable. Why bring it up? Because I was reminded of the trailer for the movie, went and watched it again, and checked out the comments. Grok.
Near the end, when the beat perfectly matched the Phalanx systems firing? Followed by Wonder Woman swinging through the sky by lassoing *lightning?* Utterly silly… and entirely awesome and badass. And then… the movie came out and it was forget-a-mess.
I’m still gobsmacked that they went and had the plot point that Steve Rogers was actually possessing another man’s body; it makes the whole ‘and then they snogged!’ thing just absolutely uncomfortable. Did nobody ever raise the point that this was effectively r*pe?
I mean, why do it that way? You’re already dealing with a magic wish stone, just have him zorp fully physical back into existence.
I have a *fantastically* good, clear and 100% effective way to explain that plot point: the writers stink.
Agreed. I would much rather watch a 100-minute loop of that trailer than watch the actual movie again. It’s really remarkable how much better it is than its source material.
