Wow, this took place at dusk, what a nice touch. All of the military personnel should have been in their Dress A’s for the occasion. I’m kinda surprised that the Air Force chief of staff and the CMSAF were not there to announce the debute of the B-21. It’s like an Army general heading up the commissioning of a Navy Carrier.
Interesting what SecDef Austin said about the aircraft. It does not need to be based in theatre to be a threat. Does that mean it has a range greater than six thousand miles?
It does seem to indicate that the aircraft has an insane range. The B-2 can go something like 6000 miles on one tank of gas; the B-21 has 30 years of advancements in aerodynamics, materials and engines to help it go further. But *twice* as far seems like a stretch.
