Macon County judge finds state gun ban violates Illinois Constitution; state appeals
The finding is pretty obvious, as banning common firearms and standard magazines is *incandescently* unconstitutional. But what seems to be the case now is that, for the moment, the law is not in effect *state* *wide.* MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA….

One response to “Oh boy! Legal mayhem!”
Sadly, no legal mayhem.
The IL Supreme court will reverse the circuit court as the state has an already “defined interest” in regulating firearms and the court will simply use that pretext to ignore all other arguments. The law will be reinstated while a renewed challenge works, it was to prbibile failure in Federal courts. The SCOTUS might take it up, or it might not, depending on the mood and the longevity of Justice Thomas who seems to be the on insisting on the court looking at 2A cases at all.
